11SIX24 / POWER 2 + JELLY BEAN 2

Find your 11SIX24.

My shortlist comes down to two shapes: Pegasus for standard and standard-leaning hybrid players; Ultré for conventional hybrid and elongated players. Then choose Power 2 or Jelly Bean 2.

Shape & setup

Full shape discussion and comparison procedure

A useful first comparison: try a similar shape in each series, then change geometry. Shared shape names do not guarantee identical dimensions, handle lengths, or balance.

MY TWO-SHAPE SHORTLIST

Pegasus or Ultré. Start there.

Pegasus → a broader face

My recommendation for standard and standard-leaning hybrid users. It is the shortest and widest choice in both series.

Vapor → the rounded hybrid

A middle-ground footprint at 16.25 × 7.75 inches, but its balance and shape felt off-putting to me. I prefer Pegasus and would skip Vapor. That is my personal fit preference.

Ultré → a square-sided option

My recommendation for conventional hybrid and elongated users. I prefer this flat-top shape over Hurache-X. Specifications differ between series; do not assume the softer Jelly Bean 2 is lighter to swing.

Hurache-X → length and handle room

11SIX24 lists a 16.5-inch length and 6-inch grip. I prefer Ultré’s flat-top outline and would skip Hurache-X for my own shortlist. The listed length is a manufacturer specification, not my measurement.

TAKE IT TO THE COURT

Make the comparison useful.

Start with your current paddle.

Repeat the same dinks, transition resets, compact counters, and drives. Notice late contact, balls sailing long, and off-center misses. A few spectacular winners tell less than a repeatable pattern.

Write down the setup.

Record the exact model, surface, handle, overgrip, and added weight. Compare touch, depth, hand speed, stability, and handle comfort against your current paddle. These are your impressions, not laboratory scores.

BEFORE YOU ORDER

A few practical answers.

How do Power 2 and Jelly Bean 2 change the choice?

11SIX24 positions Power 2 around attacking response and Jelly Bean 2 around a softer, lower-pop response. That makes series choice useful for narrowing your priorities, but softer does not necessarily mean easier to swing: the listed Ultré Jelly Bean 2 swingweight range is 116–120. Compare the shape-specific figures before choosing.

What should I check before competition?

Match the exact model, surface, thickness, and model number with the equipment rules for your event. USAP and UPA-A approval are different. Check the USA Pickleball registry or UPA-A list as applicable; a similar retail name is not enough.

Full-series manufacturer specifications

MANUFACTURER SPECIFICATIONS

Power 2, by shape.

All four: 16 mm core and 4.125-inch grip circumference. SW = swingweight; TW = twistweight. These are 11SIX24’s published ranges.

Jelly Bean 2, by shape.

All four: 16 mm EMA foam core, HexGrit face, and 4.125-inch grip circumference.

Lower swingweight generally means less resistance to swinging; higher twistweight generally means more resistance to rotation on off-center contact. Neither is an overall quality score. Manufacturer ranges do not establish how an individually modified paddle will feel.
