Spitfire Elongated
Soft feel, high power and pop, and elite spin in my experience. An around-$100 standout with grit durability that improves on standard surfaces.

The surface is an upgrade over standard paddles to me, but it is not permanent. I still expect grit to wear.

Soft feel and power around $100
The one that made the Spitfire interesting.
The Elongated came first, on its own. What set it apart for me was getting this level of playability around the $100 mark, with a more durable grit surface. It felt like a budget paddle in price, without asking me to accept budget-level performance.
Soft feel. Plenty behind it.
It has a softer, pocketing feel with high power and pop, plus elite spin in my experience. That combination is the appeal: I get the softer response I like without giving up the ability to hit hard.
I would compare it with the Enhance Turbo when shopping in this price range. The Spitfire feels soft and pocketing to me; the Turbo feels stiffer and quicker off the face. Both belong in the conversation, and the feel you prefer matters.
More durable grit—not permanent grit.
The value is improved durability alongside excellent playability, rather than a promise that the spin will last forever.

Width, handling, and off-center stability
The Widebody arrived after the Elongated. It is one of the best widebodies available in my experience, and it gives me another shape to consider in the same Spitfire family.
SPARTUS lists a 16 × 8-inch shape, 107 swing weight, and 7.4 twist weight. That is a useful contrast with the Elongated when deciding which configuration fits your game.

Overlooked. Until it mattered.
Heavy. Very good. A devoted following, and somehow still underrated.

The heavier Hybrid alternative
The P1 Hybrid is heavy, but very good. It has a cult following, yet somehow still feels underrated to me. The weight is the obvious tradeoff.
