A useful page should show its evidence, admit its limits, and help you make a decision. AI assistance should never change that standard.
Which paddle is this? Who actually played with it? Is that hoodie a finished product or a design concept?
You Came Here to Buy a Paddle, Not Decode a Prophecy.
Skilltree starts with Mitchell’s ideas, our design choices, and a lot of “what if we tried this?” Mitchell sets the direction and decides what earns a place on the site. ChatGPT helps with research, coding, and drafts. The tools help us make things. The judgment, creative direction, and responsibility stay with us.
Great Adjectives. Where’s the Evidence?
Useful writing explains the difference, why it matters, and its limits. “Amazing control” leaves a lot unanswered. Tell us the setup, the shot, and what actually happened. A pile of adjectives in a trench coat is not a test result. Even if they’re shouting ELITE, AMAZING, GAME-CHANGING in all caps.

Nerd Lore Doesn’t Add Topspin.
A little nerd lore can make a paddle comparison more memorable, but it cannot add topspin.
That’s where Mitchell’s firsthand reviews come in: he’s actually played with the paddle and spent time on the court. Manufacturer specifications and outside testing are identified separately, with an explanation of what those tests measured. If an image shows a design concept rather than a finished product, we’ll say so right beside it. The FTC calls for a reasonable basis for objective advertising claims before publication.

Don’t Take Our Word for It.
You shouldn’t have to take our word for it. We’ll link to the research we use, explain what our ratings mean, and tell you when we last checked a price. That way, you can judge whether our advice fits your needs.
Did you learn something specific? Can you separate experience from research, see the limits, and find your next step? There is room for personality without invented stories or hidden unfinished work. Skilltree’s mission is making being a nerd genuinely cool. Curiosity belongs here, along with honest answers about what still needs checking. The final call is yours.
